Industrial Telescopic Handler – This course is for delegates with prior experience and can provide documented proof of previous formal training in an Industrial Telescopic Handler truck up to 9m. Delegates will gain a suitable and sufficient understanding of current legislation, best practices and the safe use of Industrial Telescopic Handlers in line with current approved methods and manufacturer’s instructions.

• Current relevant regulations
• Operators Safety Code
• Introduction to machine
• Pre-use inspections
• Controls and instruments
• Components and main types of lift trucks
• Re-fuelling systems
• Coolant, fuel and lubrication systems
• Emergency controls
• Manoeuvring over uneven ground
• Operators safety code
• Handling loaded / unloaded pallets and difficult shaped loads
• Loading and Unloading flat bed lorries and at various heights
• Associated Knowledge, Pre-use Inspection and Practical examinations

In order to undertake a  ‘Refresher’ course, delegates need to have prior experience in operating a counterbalance forklift truck and provide documented proof of previous formal training.

Successful delegates will receive an AITT certificate showing the relevant truck category attained.
