Often referred to as Cat & Genny or HSG47 training, this course identifies the dangers and hazards which can arise from working near underground services, legislation and guidance in accordance with HSE HSG47, the knowledge to interpret utility drawings and line search documents as well as the usage of cable location devices to locate buried utility services.

This course will cover:

• Legislation and guidance relating to HSG47; avoiding danger from underground services
• Interpret utility drawings and line search documents
• Cable location devices
• Identifying dangers and hazards
• Practical operation of cable avoidance equipment
• Practical assessment & evaluation

Managers, supervisors, safety professionals and operatives who are required to oversee or carry out work using underground services detection devices.

Delegates who successfully complete the course will be issued a digital Sunbelt Certificate of Attendance, valid for 3 years.
