This course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge to correctly operate a 360 Slew Telescopic Handler (Telehandler). It covers the theoretical and practical elements and is suitable for delegates with limited to no formal instruction or training.

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

These will include:

• Roles and responsibilities.
• Preparing for work.
• Travelling and manoeuvring.
• Setting up for work.
• Working tasks (Fork Use).
• Working tasks (Suspended Loads).
• Completing work and shutting down.

All delegates must have successfully passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test, often referred to as the touch screen test, within the past two years.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Successful delegates will receive a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (on successful completion of the CPCS Technical Tests).

Companies that are CITB registered and meet their grant scheme eligibility requirements may be able to claim a short course duration grant. Please contact us for further information.
