The Ladder Association Ladders and Stepladders Inspection course will provide delegates with an understanding of when it’s right to inspect a ladder or stepladder, how to carry out a formal inspection, how to record the inspection and any faults, what action to take if faults are identified and how to accurately record details of ladders and stepladders used within the workplace. 

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

  • Practical - Carrying & Setting Up a Ladder & Stepladder and Completing a Formal Inspection 

This course is suitable for any delegate whose duty it is to inspect and maintain ladders & stepladders in their workplace. 

Delegates must hold a valid Ladder Association Users certificate and LadderCard to attend this course. 

Delegates should be fit and capable of lifting, carrying and manoeuvring ladders and stepladders during the inspection process. 

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a Ladder Association certificate and LadderCard valid for five years. 

Companies who are CITB registered and meet their grant scheme eligibility requirements may be able to claim for a short course duration grant. Please contact us for further information.
