IRATA Level 1 Rope Access Technician

This IRATA Level 1 course provides successful delegates with an internationally recognised qualification in Industrial Rope Access allowing you to work on a wide range of structures in all types of industry sectors – from window cleaning on skyscrapers to cliff stabilisation, working in the renewables sector and on offshore installations.

Training will focus on the knowledge and skills required – the safe use of equipment and a wide range of rope access manoeuvres, including simple rescue and basic legislation.

Course Content:

  • Basic rescue techniques
  • Basic rope access maneouvers
  • An understanding of RAMS
  • Fitting, function and inspection of personal equipment

Trainees will initially carry out manoeuvres at low level but MORE importantly practice at height as they progress.

Delegates must be 18 years and over and all delegates must be able to certify they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them working at height prior to commencement of training.

No previous experience is necessary however you should have an aptitude for working at height.

Successful delegates will receive an IRATA Certificate and ID card valid for 3 years.
