Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

This course will enable delegates to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first-aid situations. Delegates will be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergencies with an understanding of the role of first aider.
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.
These will include helping delegates:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely
- Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
- Assessment: both practical and written
This one-day course is for delegates who have a specific responsibility at work or in voluntary and community activities to provide help to people in a range of first aid situations.
Delegates must be able to perform practical tasks at floor level, and due to the practical nature of this course, delegates should wear appropriate clothing and footwear, e.g. trousers and flat footwear.
Successful delegates will receive a Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work e-Certificate valid for 3 years.
